As the 2019 Christmas Cheer Appeal enters its final couple of days the goodies continue to arrive, and for one Napier woman it was something she simply had to do.
Angie Jordan said some years back when she arrived back in New Zealand from abroad she needed some assistance —which she was given.
"So, time to now give something back," was how she put it while dropping off a delightful big basket of great cuddly toys.
Some 34 of them — including fluffy and knitted teddy bears, little lambs, birdies and even a smiling Mickey Mouse.
Which will make plenty of youngsters also smile when they are unwrapped.
It was the first time she had contributed to the annual cheer appeal and she said it was fulfilling to be able to step in and help those less fortunate out across the community at a special time of the year.
There was also a great box of goodies delivered to the Hastings office of Hawke's Bay Today on Wednesday from the Stortford Lodge Rotary Club.
The gift arrivals had also been added to by people passing and dropping something off along the way.
