It wasn't just the judges who were wowed by the entries in the Norsewood Flower Show held at the weekend.

Organiser Heather Cheer was very pleased with the number of flowers being shown.

There were 293 flowers with 31 people entering in the adult section.

The local preschool and the school also brought in their own amazing creations.

Some entries had come from Waipukurau as well as Dannevirke.

The flower show was at the Norsewood School this year as the hall it would normally be held in has been closed.

Many of the comments from visitors to the show were that the venue was much brighter.

Cheer said the judges were impressed, not only with the entries but with the venue, which made it easier for them to see the flowers and check for anything that might help them make their decision.

She said there had been a great response to the show with a steady stream of visitors on Saturday.
