Hawke's Bay's biggest gastronomic festival is set to end on a high this weekend with events to delight all taste buds.

For the last week F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic's 2017 Summer Series has drawn crowds from all over New Zealand to experience local talent alongside special guests at locations around the region.

F.A.W.C! organiser and Hawke's Bay Tourism general manager Annie Dundas said the first week had been fantastic, with many sold-out events.

"It's been beautiful, everyone has seemed very happy.

"We've been lucky with the weather but I'm not sure about the weekend ahead."

On Wednesday the Paying Homage to a Legendary Wine at Trinity Hill Winery was a full house to honour a beautiful wine - the 2015 Homage Syrah, she said.

Something Beginning with C on Thursday night was also packed to the gunnels.

"Everyone was very happy drinking champagne and chardonnay."

The Hastings City Night Market Pacifica Extravaganza, also on Thursday, was great with more than 2000 people experiencing the stalls and entertainment, Ms Dundas said.

Havelock North's Malo restaurant's Surf n' Turf four-course menu last night was also expected to be good fun.

The festival will close this weekend with more than 20 events.

"Everyone has been happy over the last week and is looking forward to the weekend."

Clearview Estate's Flight of the Chardonnays event in Te Awanga today will showcase the winery's revered Reserve Chardonnay.

One of the highlights this weekend will be celebrity chef Al Brown's events with Black Barn at a secret location this evening.

The Donnelly St Park Up walk-up event today would be perfect for families and anyone who had not had a chance to experience any F.A.W.C! events, she said.

Inclement weather, which has been forecast, will not impact any event at the weekend apart from people needing to dress up a bit warmer than they have done during the week, Ms Dundas said.

The sixth annual event began last Friday with the F.A.W.C! Launch Party at Black Barn Vineyards and finishes tomorrow.

Fifty writers from the New Zealand Guild of Food Writers attended the launch.

Throughout the 10-day festival food and wine lovers were able to enjoy 75 events around The region.

The best of Hawke's Bay's local talent including Jeremy Rameka, James Beck, Jackson Smith and Ashley Jones were joined by an array of visiting chefs such as Al Brown, Josh Emett, Nadia Lim, Ray McVinnie and Nici Wickes.
