It's time to celebrate winter with some delicious food and wine as Winter FAWC! gets under way today.

The month of June is full of things to do and places to go with two amazing events starting things off today.

At Advintage, Havelock North El Fiesta de Invierno will begin at 6.30pm.

El Fiesta de Invierno is a Spanish Winter Fiesta brought to you by Deliciosa and Advintage.

It is a perfect way to start your weekend with delicious Spanish wines and mouth-watering Tapas served in the Advintage drive-through which is transformed into a funky, pop-up Spanish bar.

This will be a fun, informal, cocktail-style event with live Spanish music and funky Spanish bar grooves to finish off the evening.

If you are looking for something a bit more formal Craggy Range, in Havelock North, is the place to be for the Prestige Collection Vintage of a Generation starting at 7pm. Enjoy the ambience in the unique Terroir Restaurant, beside the roaring woodfire for an evening of prestige.

Join Mary-Jeanne Hutchinson (nee Peabody) and be among the first to experience the "vintage of a generation" release of the 2013 Prestige Collection of wines, launching globally on June 1.

The celebration will include the complete iconic collection of 2013 "Sophia", "Le Sol" and "Aroha" each perfectly matched in a four-course degustation menu, created from the finest local produce by Head Chef Leyton Ashley.

That is just a taste of what promises to be a month-long celebration of the region's outstanding food and wine industry.
