Dogs bite Eskview woman

A 67-year-old woman attacked by two dogs this week is in a stable condition in Hawke's Bay Hospital.
The dogs belonged to a friend, who the woman was visiting on Tuesday when she was bitten.
Hastings District Council animal control officers took the dogs from the property.
Animal control officer Clinton Chadwick said the woman was visiting the property when she was attacked. The council would keep the dogs while an investigation was completed.
"It sounds quite serious but we don't have a lot of information yet," he said. "When the investigation is done we will make a call about whether we keep the dogs and prosecute or whether the dogs are returned."
Napier police attended the attack in Eskview but were not investigating.
