Police are investigating after a digger rolled off a transporter truck on a road near Havelock North.

Police were called to the scene on Tukituki Rd, between Craggy Range Rd and Moore Rd, about 10.25am on Wednesday.

A police spokesperson said the road was not closed and there were no injuries caused by the digger's fall.

Hastings District Council had been advised of the incident.

Police at the scene said they could not comment on what had caused the digger to tip as it was under investigation.
