State Highway 2 north of Napier continues to be the prime stretch for roadworks in Hawke's Bay with travel delays expected from five of the six maintenance and repair programmes.
One of the programmes is a hangover from the visit of Cyclone Cook this month which saw high winds andheavy rain strike the region.
Slip removal work is still being done at sites between Wairoa and Morere which took the brunt of the storm.
Temporary speed restrictions and stop-go signalling will likely result in minor delays for travellers, a New Zealand Transport Agency spokesperson said.
Delays can also be expected near North Shore Rd at Whirinaki where seal-widening work is under way, at sites between Bay View and Wairoa where annual surface blasting work is being carried out, between Putorino and Morere for roadside drainage maintenance and at Ohinepaka for bridge repairs.
Contractors are also still dealing with slip clearance work on SH38 between Omahanui and Frasertown with delays in place and minor delays expected.
While speed restrictions are in place at the Watchman Rd/Expressway roundabout construction site, and the temporary roundabout at Napier and Pilcher Rds near Mangaterere, delays would be "minimal".
Minor delays can be expected on SH5 between Napier and Taupo on the Tarawera to Te Pohue stretch as raised pavement markings were being installed.
