Two people have been moderately injured after a crash on Friday afternoon near Whakatu.
Emergency services are currently responding to a crash near Whakatu in Hastings, which has closed the road and left one person seriously injured and one moderately injured.
Police were called to Te Ara Kahikatea Rd to a two-vehicle crash on the bridge over the Karamu Stream about 2.30pm.
A police spokeswoman said two people had moderate injuries and were provided medical assistance.
“The road is blocked off to clean for debris and spilled oil.”
Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they responded with two ambulances.
