Craigs Investment Partners opens new Hawke's Bay branch

Craigs Investment Partners new Hawke's Bay branch will be the company's 18th in New Zealand.

Craigs Investment Partners, one of New Zealand's largest investment advisory and management firms, has this week opened their new Hawke's Bay branch in Havelock North.

It will be the 18th branch in their network throughout New Zealand.

Managing director of Craigs Investment Partners Frank Aldridge said he was excited to bring the business to his home region.

"Having grown up in the region, I am excited that we have now established our new branch here," Aldridge said.

"We have been waiting for the opportune time to extend our investment services into the area and now have the right team of people and will soon have brand new premises in Havelock North."

Craigs Investment Partners will be operating from a temporary site at 1 Napier Rd in Havelock North until they move into the new Joll Rd Precinct later this year.

The Hawke's Bay branch includes investment adviser Richard Horrocks and private wealth assistants Rebecca Porritt and Gussie Gould, with further experienced investment advisers joining over the coming months.

Richard Horrocks, originally from Hawke's Bay, has extensive experience after 14 years in global financial markets in New Zealand and United Kingdom.

Since returning to Hawke's Bay in 2017 he has been specialising in portfolio management for private clients, trusts and charitable organisations.

"I am excited to have joined the newly established Hawke's Bay branch and I look forward to continuing to help local clients build tailored investment solutions to achieve their financial goals" Horrocks said.

Craigs Investment Partners works in tailored investment solutions to private, corporate and institutional clients and as of January 2019 has more than $16 billion of client funds under management.

Having started in 1984 in Whakatane the firm has now expanded to more than 500 staff, which includes 150 investment advisers, is owned by over 180 employees, alongside the strategic partner Deutsche Bank.

Craigs Investment Partners also has operations in Australia through its 50 per cent shareholding in Wilsons Advisory and Stockbroking.
