Rhythm, Rap and Rock will be interwoven into a night of song and dance to kick off Youth Week 2007.
Hastings District Youth Council, with the support of local youth and retailers, is holding a "UNIFYOUTH" Concert to end Youth Week, 21-27 May 2007.
"UNIFYOUTH" is designed to showcase local youth musical
ability by providing a location for eight local youth bands such as Tall Tales of a Small City, Implicit and One Voice to play to their peers.
Young people are encouraged to come along to the Assembly Hall, Municipal Buildings, Hastings on Saturday, May 26 at 7:30pm to enjoy the entertainment provided by these bands for free.
Youth council chair Andrew Beacham says local retailers have generously donated to the cause they would any more donations.
"Hastings District Youth Council is proud to label this as a Smokefree Event.
"It is going to be a great night to cap off Youth Week 2007 and showcase the talents of local youth in a bright light through a well-organised event in a safe and secure location."
