Christmas Eve fire rips through Hastings bakery

A Christmas Eve blaze has damaged Century Bakery in Hastings.

Fire Services confirmed they were called to the scene at 8.31pm, and the fire was contained at 9.25pm.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

A police spokesman said they were called at 8.31pm to assist fire, and St John's Ambulance attended as well.

He said the fire was "well involved" when they arrived at the scene.
