A 90-year-old woman rolled her car off the Tukituki River stop bank in Waipukurau yesterday but escaped injury.
Waipukurau Fire Service said she was exercising her dog along the stop bank between Coughlan Rd and James St at 4.48pm.
The dog followed her - until she drove off the crest of the
stop bank, tipping her vehicle on to its side.
A St John ambulance crew found no injury, apart from acute embarrassment. The dog also escaped injury. Her car was righted by a tow truck company.
