A man has been charged with indecent assault after a spate of attacks on a Go Bus.

A man has been charged with indecent assault after a spate of attacks on a Go Bus.

A 22-year-old Hastings man has been charged with five counts of indecent assault while on a bus from Napier to Hastings.

The man is alleged to have assaulted the young woman on a Go Bus Napier-Hastings route on five occasions in October and November. He appeared in the Hastings District Court on December 19 and was remanded on bail to reappear on January 20 next year.

He was granted interim name suppression.

Earlier this month police released an identikit picture of a man wanted in relation to the indecent assault of an 11-year-old girl on the same bus.

That person had still not been located but was not the same person arrested for these assaults.
