A two-year old boy who had his arm amputated after an accident with a lawnmower in Wairoa on Saturday morning is in a critical condition at Hawke's Bay Hospital.
A Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman Louise Harvey said the boy was flown earlier today to the hospital for treatment.
Hospital spokeswoman Anna Kirk told
NZPA that the boy was operated on and was in critical condition.
No details were available on the nature of the accident.
