Get set to sparkle at Hawke's Bay's new premier black tie fundraiser event. The glamorous night will take place at Mana Lodge on Saturday, May 23, in aid of Cranford Hospice.

The inaugural Sparkle 2015 event will feature Alison Mau as the MC, entertainment from John Fletcher, the Big Jazz Band, and an auction.

Many sponsors have contributed to a mix of auction lots, including a handcrafted diamond and white gold pendant from Unio Goldsmith, two David Trubridge light pieces, an eyelid lift from Eye Surgeons of Hawke's Bay and a Winter Sparkle Party package.

The bidding process will be "short and sweet", leaving ample time for guests to relax, mingle and enjoy the hospitality on offer in beautiful surroundings.

A service of Presbyterian Support East Coast, Cranford Hospice requires over $2.1 million in donations each year to provide its services free of charge to the people of Hawke's Bay.

Cranford Hospice's general manager, Helen Blaxland said once again she is humbled by the generosity of the Hawke's Bay community.

"It is wonderful to see the enthusiasm and creativity of this fundraising initiative," Ms Blaxland said.

The chance to support Sparkle was embraced by Mana Lodge owner Lady Deborah Holmes.

"Helen Blaxland and her team do an outstanding job in the community. When I was approached about providing Mana Lodge as the venue for the fundraising event I had no hesitation in agreeing."

Shirley Collins, Presbyterian Support East Coast's fundraising, marketing and communications manager, said Sparkle will not only support Cranford Hospice but also provide a showcase of Hawke's Bay's best.

"With Sparkle 2015 we are setting a new standard in gala events in the region, from the venue, food and wine to the breathtaking decor planned by Havelock North's Suzanne Hardy from Style Me Vintage."

Ms Hardy said she was excited to support Cranford Hospice by being part of Sparkle 2015.
