Food Hawke's Bay and Total Food Equipment are launching a new and exciting Best Brunch event.
Cafes and eateries will be competing to put forward their best brunch dish for a competition to run in August, where the dining public will get to vote for the brunch dish they think
is the best.
Registration is now open for the region's eateries, to create a dish that will wow diners with their flair and to showcase local producers' product.
There are few regional culinary events aimed at cafes and smaller eateries and this is an ideal opportunity for them to participate and gain recognition.
As the event will be held in August, organisers are encouraging people to get out and have brunch at their local cafe to stimulate business during the quieter winter weeks.
