I can't believe we are only three days into F.A.W.C. with another whole glorious week to go. I was a bit worried on Sunday evening that I may have peaked a little early with events at Craggy Range, Elephant Hill, Oyster Saloon, Mangapapa and Trinity Hill over the weekend. But I am now feeling rested and raring to go ... and just a little bit hungry.

Tonight will be the second 'Taste of Spain' dinner set under the vines at Deliciosa Tapas and Wine Bar. Hosted by John Hancock of Trinity Hill, he will match six wines to a series of stunning tapas dishes.

The event is sold out and for good reason, the combination of Deliciosa's food with Trinity Hill wines will surely be one of the eating and drinking experiences of the week.

On Wednesday night, Black Barn Bistro is hosting a night of fabulous food and laughs with three comedians, Jesse Mulligan, Urzila Carlson and Guy Williams entertaining diners in-between a three-course meal. Limited tickets are still available to this.

Also on Wednesday night an event for pasta fanatics, 'A Taste of Italy'. Milk and Honey executive chef Paolo Pancotti and Jan Patulski, owner of Vetro will educate you on the various forms of pasta as well as filling your bellies with some authentic Italian and kiwi interpretations on classic pasta dishes. A special wine list featuring wines from Italy and Hawke's Bay will be available for the evening.

For all your syrah fans out there, on Thursday evening Advintage will be pouring ten syrahs priced from $15 to $300. All will be served blind and you will be tasked with ranking them in price order.

There will be expert assistance on hand for those who want some help (or to cheat depending on what bribes are accepted!)

Friday will kick off with a session on single origin coffee with Bay Espresso's Chris Jarvis. Learn about the subtleties of the differences in flavour and how coffee beans can vary dependent on country, region and growing year through to the way the raw product is treated.

You'll get to drink plenty of the stuff ... accompanied by some food matches.
