Lighting, sound and costumes all got the thumbs up at the dress rehearsal for the Pak'nSave Hastings Edible Fashion Awards 2011 last night.
Kinks were worked out as designers and entrants strutted their stuff in preparation for today's showcase.
The awards have secured a star studded judging panel including Ben
Mitchell aka TK Samuels from Shortland Street, Miss Universe New Zealand Ria van Dyke, Kirsten Le Bon, Eva Bradley and Pete "Da Palagi" Marsden. Brendon Pongia from TVNZs Good Morning is the MC. For the first year the competition has attracted over 100 entries and included entrants from outside the region.
The Pak'nSave Hastings Edible Fashion Awards 2011 will be held at the Hawke's Bay Opera House in Hastings today. Junior and intermediate designers will be shown from 10am, with senior students and adult designers from 2pm. Tickets for the daytime shows: Adults $5, children $2.50 at the door.
Evening Extravaganza, 7pm: Family pass $47, adults $20, $15 students and 65+ , $10 children under 12. Tickets from TicketDirect, ph 0800 224 224.
