Police are making enquiries into the death of a nine month old baby.

Emergency services were called to a home in Napier around 3.45am yesterday.

Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, and are talking to a number of people who were at the house at the time.

At this stage the baby's death is being treated as unexplained.
