Hawke's Bay has plenty of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. We list 8 of the best things on offer this weekend.

1. A Merry Little Christmas Fair
Bring the family and come along to join in the festivities with special guest Santa! Lots of fun things
happening for children big and small; with all funds raised supporting the local community. Santa is visiting from 11am-1pm and for a gold coin donation, parents are more than welcome to take photos of their children with Santa. All funds raised going towards presents for the Hawke's Bay Hospital Children's Ward. Santa's grotto staged by Christmas Wonderland Hawke's Bay.

2. Four Seasons Spring Art and Craft Fair
Save the date and come along to our next Arts and Craft Fair. Our pop-up cafe @Kakapo Cafe will be selling a small menu of Tea, Coffee, Scones, Toasties, Cornish Teas and more ... Derek will be there with some of his amazing photo prints, Deanta Hand Craft, ReBorn:Up-Cycled Creations and Jane will be there selling handcrafted baby goodies and toys. 3. Journey to The Never Never Land
K Studio of Dance teachers Karen Suitor & Kerry Mackenzie present their annual recital Journey to Never Never Land at the Napier Municipal Theatre. Come along and travel with Wendy, John and Michael as they follow Peter Pan on a magical journey through Never Never Land. The senior students performing classical ballet items present the second part of the programme. Also jazz and contemporary items choreographed by Liz Davey.

4. Hastings Library Preschool Storytime
Join us on Sunday at 2pm for a fun story time and craft session in the children's area at Hastings Library. All are welcome for stories and fun! Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Please note these sessions are only during school terms.

5. Bays Weekend Market
Sunday market down by ocean spa, marine parade. Wide range of stalls, veggies, food, new and old, trash and treasures. Come on down and see for yourself. Lots of bargains.

6. Black Barn Growers' Market
The market season opens with the new season's asparagus, strawberries and artichokes and finishes as summer comes to an end with stone fruit, peppers and beans. As well as all the seasonal produce, the market is crammed with freshly baked bread, locally roasted coffee, flowers, meat, pickles, olive oil, organic veges, lavender products, etc.

8. Madcap And Vice New Zealand - Oddisee
This December, critically-acclaimed Sudanese-American artist Oddisee (Amir Mohamed) returns to New Zealand with his band Good Compny, with tour support from American singer/songwriter Olivier St. Louis and New Zealand's very own hip hop lyricist Melodownz. Since the release of his album The Iceberg in 2017, Oddisee and Good Compny have played over 150 shows worldwide, scoring rave reviews along the way.
