One person has died in a single-car crash on Lamason St in Greenmeadows this weekend.

One person has died in a single-car crash on Lamason St in Greenmeadows this weekend.

Police have released the name of the man killed in a Napier crash at the weekend.

He was 36-year-old Matthew Kyte of Napier.

Mr Kyte died at the scene of a single car crash on Lamason Street in Greenmeadows.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4:10am.

Police extended their sympathies to Mr Kyte's family and confirmed inquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing. The Serious Crash Unit had been advised.
