A Hawke's Bay Regional Councillor has called for the Hastings District Council chief executive to step down over the Havelock North water contamination crisis.
During a Hawke's Bay Regional Council meeting this afternoon, councillor Neil Kirton stated Hastings' chief executive Ross McLeod should read the evidence provided by the council gathered through their investigation, "and then tender his resignation".
