DANGEROUS CROSSING: A man was thrown from his horse during a river crossing near Sherenden yesterday. PHOTO SUPPLIED

A man was taken to hospital yesterday after being thrown from his horse during a river crossing.

It's understood ther man suffered chest injuries after the fall on a rural property in Sherenden about 2pm.

It's understood the victim, in his 50s, is recovering in hospital after being flown by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter.

His condition was unknown.
