OUTAGE: UnsionFibre suffered an outage after a contractor hit a main distribution cable on Marine Parade earlier today. PHOTO/FILE

A fibre outage has left Unison customers without internet, after a contractor hit a main distribution cable on Marine Parade earlier today.

UnisonFibre repairs are under way and Unison are commencing a rolling restoration of fibre services.

A post on their Facebook page said when customers see lights coming back on their router's, they will need to do a re-boot by switching the power off to the unity and then on again.
The majority of customers are now online, and some will experience outages until repairs are finished.

UnisonFibre should be operating as normal by tomorrow morning.
