Atlas Fibrous Plaster Company employee Layton Bell yesterday upheld the time-honoured ritual of getting plastered before his wedding.
The 35-year-old was coated with cornice plaster and shackled to a streetlight outside the company office on Hastings' Eastbourne Street.
His boss, Bryce Clifford, (pictured) said the stunt was a 30-year pre-wedding tradition for employees.
Mr Bell, who will tie the knot with his beau on March 10, said the hardened plaster did not wash off in water. "It'll have to be peeled and ripped off," he said.
"I'm more worried about how much they poured down the back of my trousers."
