Arrest made over Dannevirke Caltex robbery

A 17-year-old local man has been arrested in relation to an aggravated robbery at Caltex Dannevirke last week.

At 11.15pm last Thursday two people pointed a pistol at the Caltex attendant and grabbed cash and cigarettes.

Police made the arrest this morning and will charge the man with aggravated robbery.

He was due to appear in the Palmerston North District Court this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

They thanked the community for providing information, but asked the public to assist them in finding the other man involved in the robbery.

He was described as being of medium-chubby build and was about 18-years-old.
