Little Lapin has a 10-date tour of New Zealand after just releasing her debut self-titled EP.
Prolific Kiwi songbird Little Lapin is making her mark on the music industry - here and overseas.
Originally from Plymouth England, this indie artist with a velvet voice now calls Auckland home.
Having recently released a debut six track self-titled EP, she is stopping off at The Cabana in Napiertonight as part of a 10-date tour of New Zealand, leaving behind the backing band in favour of a stripped back acoustic set.
The alternative singer-songwriter's vocals featured on Above the Clouds, a theme tune for television show Agent Anna, which was also selected for Air New Zealand's inflight playlist alongside Lorde and Willy Moon.
Her track Waiting Room gained exposure on Radio One's Top Plays last year, impressing BBC Radio hosts and UK blog, Fresh on the Net.
She has five music videos to date - two of which were funded by New Zealand on Air.
The latest single Sound of Summer featured on music channel C4, student radio station 95bfm and was hand-picked by BBC Radio 6 host Tom Robinson for his Christmas Gems playlist.
After hearing her EP, legendary music producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, The Cranberries) recommended engineer John Davis (Morrissey, Lana Del Rey, Florence & the Machine) work on her upcoming offering.
Little Lapin is currently working on new material with New Zealand producer, Ben King.
Joining her on tour will be Eden Roberts, an 18-year-old singer-songwriter, who communicates universal themes with a sweet blues voice and alternative acoustic guitar style.
She was described by Exponents frontman Jordan Luck as, "a writer working in a new space" and has already supported UK songwriter Nik Kershaw as well as playing at venues such as The Continental Club and Austin TX.
