Knowing he'll be convicted, James King (Will Ferrell) presses "weights" (Kevin Hart) to be prison-ready.

Knowing he'll be convicted, James King (Will Ferrell) presses "weights" (Kevin Hart) to be prison-ready.

Will Ferrell is a funny man who has played some very amusing characters over the years.

Think Jackie Moon (Semi-Pro), Chazz Michael Michaels (Blades of Glory), Buddy (Elf) and of course Ron Burgundy (Anchorman) and you have an idea of his work.

Millionaire financier James King gives Ferrell another opportunity to make us laugh and he does the job well.

King may seem to be far from the smartest sandwich in the lunchbox but he is very good at what he does -- making money. He buys and sells shares on the stockmarket according to his hunches and he's rarely wrong.

With a gorgeous fiancee and all the money in the world, King is living the good life.

Then it all collapses around him when he is arrested at his engagement party.

He is accused of defrauding millions of dollars from unsuspecting clients.

Given 30 days to get his affairs in order, King knows he won't survive in prison. He needs help to toughen up before he gets there.

The only man he knows who can help is Darnell (Kevin Hart), the car cleaner for his company.

Darnell is not exactly the man for the job but the money being offered for helping King entices him to give it a shot. And so the fun begins as Darnell turns King's house into a prison and does his best to teach him some moves to help him stay safe while he's locked up.

The pair form an extremely unlikely alliance and the bumbling King does begin to learn a few things.

The laughs come thick and fast as the role playing of potential prison events takes place.

Eventually, Darnell, with a new-found respect for King, decides his best option is to work out who framed the financier rather than wait for the impending prison cell.

There's an unlikely chemistry between Ferrell and Hart in Get Hard that is crucial to the success of this fun romp.
