She came on like a wrecking ball but Miley Cyrus really needs to put away the tongue and the cheap gimmicks and settle down a bit.

She came on like a wrecking ball but Miley Cyrus really needs to put away the tongue and the cheap gimmicks and settle down a bit.

Miley Cyrus is putting a few noses out of joint on the Mexico leg of her Bangerz world tour.

The 21-year-old twerked onstage while wearing a giant plastic posterior in Monterrey. Then came news that the Wrecking Ball singer is facing potential jail time for desecrating the Mexican flag during the same concert.

While on stage, she got down on her hands and knees as a male back-up dancer whacked her real posterior with a Mexican flag. It happened to be Mexican Independence Day on the night of the incident.

The state congress of Nuevo Leon is reportedly seeking to prosecute Miley for the act, which could cost the singer a fine and potentially up to 36 hours in jail. Seriously, a mere 36 hours?

She is already in hot water with the Dominican Republic which banned her September 13 concert in the country, on morality grounds.

This lass certainly loves being outrageous. Her latest questionable behaviour raised a few eyebrows. She strutted onstage with a fake penis strapped to her nose during her concert in Guadalajara, Mexico.

She will perform this weekend in Sao Paulo, Brazil, then her show heads to Chile and Argentina before concerts in New Zealand (at Vector Arena, Auckland, on October 8) and Australia wrapping the tour in Perth on October 23.

Miley has said she can't wait to get home to try other things. "I want to work on directing ... I want to be learning. I enrolled in a CGI class."

Awesome. The sooner you get home, dear, the better. I think the world has seen more than enough of you for now.

Parents, please don't take your children to Miley's concert. What is seen, cannot be unseen.
