Today is the first day of the annual Better Home and Living show and will feature more than 120 exhibitors from across the North Island.

They include Kitchen Studio Hawke's Bay, which will showcase the latest in kitchen design and technology.

The event at the Pettigrew Arena will stage the latest eco-trends and sustainable innovations over four categories: home, garden, transport, mind and body.

Kitchen Studio Hawke's Bay will be making its third appearance at the show and kitchen designer Liz Ensor said the studio would promote several new products and give people the chance to enter a promotion to save up to $5000 on a new kitchen.

"We will have a model kitchen set up and the highlight will be a new boiling water system product," she said.

"It's like a little jug that you put under your tap, it's just brilliant, not noisy at all and it provides you with boiled water instantly so people don't have to keep reboiling the jug."

Kitchen Studio will also include a seminar on each of the three days, providing people with informative advice from professional cooks and designers on new kitchenware and designs.

Hawke's Bay Today returns as the principal sponsor of the show that will run until Sunday and is open from 10am-5pm each day. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and under-6s free.
