Heritage Hardware's Dion Fyfe shows off laminate surfaces with digital stone images.

Heritage Hardware's Dion Fyfe shows off laminate surfaces with digital stone images.

Hawke's Bay firm Heritage Hardware expects to be further featured in lifestyle magazines thanks to securing exclusive distribution rights to digitally-enhanced Canadian bench-top laminates.

"We saw a huge gap in the market where laminate has not had much competition - that's all set to change with Arborite," sales consultant Dion Fyfe said.

"High definition imaging is closing the gap on stone and wood surfaces. Photos are taken of stone slabs and a direct copy is made so you get the same appearance. We can provide durable laminate that has never looked so real."

He said the High Pressure Laminate itself is as innovative as the printing process, offering durability as well as a realistic-looking surface.

The innovation means Heritage expects to be further featured in leading lifestyle magazines.
The family-owned firm was established in 1986 and is New Zealand's largest supplier of sinks, selling more than 25,000 a year, and stocks a large range of hardware.

Based in Hastings it recently moved premises, bringing two warehouses under one roof on Omahu Rd in Hastings to streamline the business.
