Four of the nine members appointed to a government task force set up to reduce costs in road maintenance are from Hawke's Bay.
The Road Maintenance Task Force was set up to find new initiatives that will save money without sacrificing quality.
The Hawke's Bay members are director of Hawke's Bay Airport Tony Porter, manager of development and infrastructure for Local Government New Zealand Geoff Swainson, Hastings District Council asset management group manager David Fraser and New Zealand Transport Agency Napier state highways manager Mark Kinvig.
