Bringing businesses to Hawke's Bay will increase employment, diversification and will lead to a better economy.
Big Save moved their head office to the region three years ago and now directly employ almost 100 people and work with many local businesses.
Company director Tom McKimm said lower costs and better logistics motivated the company's decision to move here three years ago.
Costs in Paraparaumu were going up and they knew they needed to make changes so they could grow.
"The move has been hugely successful," Mr McKimm said. "It's more cost-effective than Wellington or Auckland and has the capacity, transport and people."
The business had built good relationships with the Port of Napier and Napier City Council and expanded into property development when the Ahuriri Business Park was established in 2008.
It is now one of the largest business parks in New Zealand.
"More national and international businesses need to recognise that this is a great place to be based," he said. "There's enough room in Hawke's Bay for a lot more business."
