Isolated rural communities can have ultra-fast broadband too, says Ben Deller, sales manager of Hawke's Bay internet provider Airnet.

Matarua Farm Park, beside the Tukituki river at the junction of Kahuranaki and Waimarama roads, will not benefit from the government's roll out to rural areas because it is not near a school but thanks to Airnet radio links, the lifestyle subdivision enjoys ultra-fast broadband.

Airnet Sales Manager Ben Deller said the developers wanted the best.

"They knew access to ultra-fast broadband was going to be a key part of any prospective property owner's decision to relocate to the rural development," he said.

Airnet installed a discreet receiving dish and cabinet and installed fibre to all the properties for telephones and internet.

The infrastructure gives the development the best of both worlds, modern communications and rural living.

The development boasts vistas of the Te Mata Peak range and un-obstructed views down the Tukituki river valley.
