Last year's Westpac Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards overall winner Mission Estate Winery is urging local businesses to enter the 2011 awards.
Mission Estate chief executive Peter Holley said at the launch of the awards last night, at the National Aquarium in Napier, that entering had been a positive experience for the business.
"The awards have assisted us greatly in raising our regional and national profile as a truly creative, innovative, and successful business," he said.
"More importantly they have been a great motivator for the whole Mission team. I would strongly urge anyone considering entering the awards to do so. The process is painless, feedback from the judges outstanding and in the event of success a huge rush for your business."
The 2011 Westpac Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards have undergone a revamp with the categories being split into general categories and specialist categories.
The winners of the four general categories announced at the awards ceremony on November 3 will be in contention for the Hawke's Bay Today Business of the Year award.
Entries close on August 26 and those interested in entering can attend a entry workshop on July 21.
