Bay's biz award finalists revealed

The finalists have been announced for the 15th Westpac Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

The names were announced at a cocktail function at the Napier Sailing Club last night.

Awards co-ordinator Marilyn Love congratulated all the finalists, who came from a cross-section of the business community.

"We are delighted to see so many businesses putting the focus back on their business in order to enter these awards," she said.

"All the finalists should be congratulated for getting this far in these prestigious regional awards."

The judges will now make site visits before selecting category winners and, ultimately, the Westpac Supreme Business of the Year winner.

Chief judge Rick Cranswick said this year's awards would allow recognition of some fantastic local businesses.

"We're looking forward to digging deeper to uncover the best businesses in each category as well as this year's overall winner," Mr Cranswick said.

The Gen-I Breakthrough Award and Hawke's Bay Tourism, Tourism Industry Award finalists will be announced at the end of September.
