Hawke's Bay supermarket staff dominated the prizes at the Foodstuffs Wellington Training Awards last week.

Andrew Graney of Pak'nSave Tamatea won the Foodstuffs Wellington Management Programme Emerging Leader Supreme Award, which is seen as preparing employees for store ownership.

As part of his prize he receives a place on the 2012 Executive Development Programme at the Clearwater Resort in Christchurch.

Also winning a Supreme Award was Krystelle Sparksman of Pak'nSave Hastings, who was awarded Bakery Apprentice of the Year.

As part of her prize she receives a place on the 2012 Supervisory Development Programme.

The Checker of the Year Award was won by Nicole Hessell of Pak'nSave Hastings.

The runner-up was Melissa Coulam of New World Greenmeadows.

Pak'nSave Hastings had two award winners - as did Pak'nSave Napier City, New World Greenmeadows and New World Dannevirke.

Bakery Workshop Award - Sam Medway, New World Greenmeadows.

Checker of the Year - Nicole Hessell, Pak'nSave Hastings.

Runner-up Checker of the Year - Melissa Coulam, New World Greenmeadows.

Seafood Special Recognition Award - Nyree Standfield, New World Dannevirke.

Butchery Achievement Award - Dylan Hills, New World Dannevirke.
