Glenys Whiteman skipped Kahutia clubmates Holli Elkington (lead), Ngamiro Allen (two) and Lucy Shanks (director) to victory in the Ella Gibson Women’s Open Fours at Poverty Bay Bowling Club’s greens.
They had six wins and a draw to go through the two days of play unbeaten.
Runners-up were Te Karaka
team Mere Nepia (skip), Del Tamanui (director), Diane Murray (two) and Sarah Brown (lead). They had five wins, a draw and a loss.
Seven teams took part. Three were from Poverty Bay Bowling Club, two were from Gisborne, and the other two were the winners and runners-up.
All teams had to play four games on the Saturday. Post-section play was held on the Sunday.
