Teams drawn from the hat for fours tournament

INDOOR BOWLS

AKUHATA Keelan skipped the winning team in a Hibernian Indoor Bowling Club fours tournament at the club’s rooms at the Gisborne Intermediate School hall on Monday evening.

A strong turnout of 32 bowlers took part, teams being drawn from the hat.

In Keelan’s team were Anne Yee (three), Seton Clare (two) and Adam Rickard (lead).

Runners-up were Arnold Hutchins (skip), Coralie Campbell-Whitehead (three) and Doreen Brown.

A consolation prize was won by Willie Yee, Noble Keelan, Pauline Clare and Nola Bayram.

Amy Moy, Anne Yee and Jean Yee won raffles on the night.

Congratulations go to club members Arnold Hutchins, John Harvey, and Amy and Allen Moy for winning the Tom Duffin Centre Tournament.

Congratulations also go to junior bowlers Akuhata and Te Rina Keelan, and Rachael and Adam Rickard for being selected to represent Poverty Bay.
