Daniel Stewart, batting at No.5, made 30 from 28 balls, and hit two fours and a six. The 38-run fourth-wicket stand between Stewart and Reynolds (21 off 28 balls) was the biggest partnership of the innings.
Left-armer Fry (2-7 off two overs) was praised by Marshall for bowling a tight line and full — exactly what’s required on an artificial pitch.

Those two batsmen held the innings together, although the Stars’ Kayley Knight, bowling second change, took four wickets for five runs in three overs, two of which were maidens.
In response, the Stars’ best was opener Daniel Watts, a talented all-rounder. He made 22 from 22 balls. He has a dynamic approach to batsmanship.
His captain, No.8 Liam Spring, hit four boundaries in a swashbuckling innings of 18 from eight balls before being dismissed by the eighth bowler used by the Broncos — Trowell (2-9 off 1.1 overs).
