Dayvinia Mills and Geoff Pinn won a shortened optional pro pairs tournament at Kahutia Bowling Club after stormy weather stopped play.

Mills and Pinn were the top-ranked pair at the end of the first day’s play, winning all four of their games, with a plus-33 differential and 29 ends won.

Heavy overnight rain caused the cancellation of the second day’s play, so Mills and Pinn were declared winners.

Also on four wins were July Hoepo and Diane Murray, with a +22 differential and 29 ends.

Twin brothers Kyle and Liam Pinn had three wins with a +30 differential and 31 ends, while Clara Taingahue and Kelly Te Miha had three wins with a +20 differential and 34 ends.

Also on two wins but with negative differentials were Glenys Whiteman and Ray Young, and Puna McRoberts and BJ Seymour.

Further down the standings, Keith and Cheryl Tamanui had a strong +16 differential from a single victory, while Marty and Lyn Hayes put in a good effort across their four matches.
