Teams endured scorching heat to take part in an optional triples tournament at Kahutia Bowling Club.

Twelve teams each played three games of eight ends over the Mitre 10 Gisborne-sponsored competition at which music contributed to a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.

As the only unbeaten team, the winners were Karen Pinn (skip), Keith Tamanui and Puna McRoberts. Over their three victories, they won 15 ends and finished with a +11 differential.

Second place went to Kyle Pinn (s), BJ Seymour and Coral Dunn, who had two wins and a draw, with 14 ends won and a +7 differential.

Third were Steve Jenkins (s), Joe Wimutu and Tony Dobson. They had two wins, 16 ends won and a +18 differential.
