Gisborne Netball Centre has big decisions to make this weekend.

Week two of grading will fill the Victoria Domain courts on Saturday before GNC officials decide the composition of the senior grades.

Netball commentator Sherrill Beale said it could be difficult to decide as teams found their feet and she expected plenty of discussion around the table.

One of those teams in the premier spotlight could be Old Girls Whāngārā, who lost their 20-minute grading games last Saturday - 18-4 to Gisborne Girls’ High Senior A and 19-9 to Claydens Waikohu (1).

OG Whāngārā face Horouta Gold in the 11am round, followed by clubmates Whāngārā Old Girls at 11.28am.

“All premier teams have retained many of last year’s players and, at times, there were good signs of their links working well,” Beale said.

“They will want them to work longer for this last day of grading to prove they should stay in this grade.

“GGHS Snr A recorded two wins last week while Waikohu 1 and Horouta Gold had wins, and both drew against Turanga FM YMP.

“I am expecting YMP to be firing on Saturday to put the draws behind them. I am also expecting the game between Waikohu and Horouta to be very competitive.”

The courts at Victoria Domain will be busy from 9am to 3pm.

Senior, secondary and intermediate teams each play two shortened grading games while Year 5 and 6 teams continue their competition games.

Premier draw for Saturday

11am: Turanga FM YMP v Whāngārā Old Girls; Old Girls Whāngārā v Horouta Gold; Claydens Waikohu (1) v Gisborne Girls’ High Senior A
