Girls drawn from Gisborne, Wairoa and the East Coast had the chance to train under the guidance of Black Ferns Renee Wickliffe and Charmaine McMenamin. They both played in the Ferns’ World Cup-winning team in the tournament held in Ireland last year. In Gisborne they were accompanied by New Zealand women’s rugby development officer Anna Darling. A story on their visit will be in The Herald tomorrow.
