Former Gisborne cricketer Kayley Knight is in a 15-strong New Zealand A squad that headed to Sri Lanka today for three one-day matches and three Twenty20s in Dambulla.
It is the first women’s New Zealand A tour to Asia.
The Northern Brave pace bowler is one of seven players inthe squad with White Ferns experience. Knight made her Twenty20 International and One-Day International debuts earlier this year, but missed out on White Ferns selection for the Women’s T20 World Cup in England in June and July.
All New Zealand A matches are at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. One-day matches are on May 12, 15 and 18. T20 matches are on May 21, 23 and 25.
