Poverty Bay

KATHRYN Flaugere (skip) and Andrew Ball won Poverty Bay Bowling Club's open mixed pairs club championship over three evening meetings.

They were unbeaten in all five games they played, and defeated Jeff Davis (skip) and Joy Davis 19-10 in the final.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be played on October 10 and 11.

Bad weather meant it was postponed and eventually held in good conditions over three evenings, starting at 5.15pm and concluding under floodlights.

In the sixth round, Flaugere (s) and Ball defeated BJ Seymour (s) and Lesley Seymour 13-12.
