Another final for Dame Lisa at World Canoe Sprint champs

Dame Lisa Carrington has cruised into the final of the K1 200 at the World Canoe Sprint Championships in Canada. She recorded the fastest time of the day and grabbed the one automatic spot for the final from her heat.

Carrington and Gisborne’s Alicia Hoskin then finished second in their heat of the K2 too to qualify for the semifinals. Carrington is competing in four events this week. Ashton Reiser was fifth in men’s K1 200 heat and will go to semifinal and Max Brown and Kurtis Imrie were fifth in their K2 500 heat and will now go to a semifinal. — RNZ
