Opinion
I would like to say firstly a big thank you to Sandy Bull, who has left the gates open on the property he manages at Wainui, so the locals can go for a walk and not touch the gates or latches.
I would also like to ask The Herald ifyou would consider please adding a page of mixed puzzles daily for us — both children, parents and elders would appreciate it. A family getting together over clues is very bonding. By the way, one code cracker a week is not nearly enough for some of us!
Also, I would like to ask if the community would consider cleaning up the sides of the footpaths, roads and beaches they walk/run on, as this would also enhance our communities. Even if it's a piece of rubbish each day per person, our community would be so much nicer to walk in and in a very short time there would be no more rubbish. We have a golden opportunity to be rubbish-free in Gisborne!
Footnote from Ed: A mixed puzzles page will run daily from Thursday through the lockdown, and an extra giant crossword is on page 16 of today's paper. Enjoy!
