Popular Latin beats and dance event Fiesta Latina has been given the green light with Gisborne moving to Alert Level 1.
“We are so excited to be running the seventh Fiesta Latina now we are in Alert Level 1,” says organiser and Zumba teacher Elena Serena.
People can dust offtheir dancing shoes and get ready for a night of mixing and mingling as they salsa the night away at the Dome on October 3.
“It's a great opportunity to get out and socialise and have some fun.”
Husband and wife DJ duo BrazilBeat will be playing the hottest Latin tracks all night, including salsa, merengue, bachata, Brazilian funk, kuduro and reggaetton (Latin hip-hop).
Elena will be taking a class to teach the basic steps so people can bust out their best Latin dance moves on the night. The class is at 7.15pm on Monday at the Mangapapa School hall.
International salsa teacher, Sheryl May will also be taking a lead-and-follow mini-class at 9pm on the night of the event.
Advance tickets for the Fiesta have sold out so there will only be limited door sales.
