Tairawhiti lacks responsibility with regard to Covid vaccination, with 65 percent fully vaccinated — the worst rate in Aotearoa.

We have had months to responsibly be vaccinated to help protect our wonderful paradise. Now the experts say it is only a matter of time before Covid-19 will be circulating in our district.

Come on Gisborne, start leading the way.

Note it will take one infected case to spread the virus through our region. Don't start bleating if you and your family and kids get Delta and our hospital can't cope.

Hospital Priority: Those urgent cases who are on waiting lists now. Those urgent accident cases, cancer cases, hip bone cases, sick children, sick elderly folks. Our hospitals don't need this extra pressure. They do a wonderful job.

What is it? Ignorance? One's rights?

For many of us we remember when as kids we got polio, rubella, measles, mumps jabs etc. You are lucky the Government provides these, and shingles and flu jabs. All on taxpayers.

Open your eyes. Many families in other countries get nothing. Kids make a living from rubbish dumps. Yes no dole, no pension, no ACC, no free doctors plus hospitals.

Wake up Kiwis, whanau, Tairawhiti residents.

Pandemics go back a long way. Answer was to stay at home. Answer again, to stay at home, or get vaccinated.
